Or, rien n&rsquo;est probablement plus faux.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;Internet regorge de fausses\u00a0pr\u00e9visions qui vous annoncent de mani\u00e8re p\u00e9remptoire ce qui s&rsquo;est d\u00e9j\u00e0 pass\u00e9. Par pudeur, on ne mettra pas de lien sur la<br \/>\nphrase pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente.<\/p>\n<h3>Tendances 2021: la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle va (enfin, si, si &#8230;) d\u00e9coller<\/h3>\n<p>Sans parler de la sempiternelle pr\u00e9vision sur le d\u00e9veloppement de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle (la m\u00eame depuis 1995). <strong>les pr\u00e9visionistes qui se lancent dans des<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>annonces \u00e0 contre-courant sont plus\u00a0rares<\/strong>. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle \u00e9tait \u00ab\u00a0in\u00a0\u00bb, la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 tout court \u00ab\u00a0out\u00a0\u00bb. Bon, pas vraiment en fait.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>D\u00e9clarer, par exemple, que la\u00a0voiture autonome n&rsquo;est pas pour tout de suite il y a 5 ans, alors que la terre enti\u00e8re s&rsquo;\u00e9merveillait de cette prouesse technologique \u00e9tait courageux. De m\u00eame pour pr\u00e9dire l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e de l&rsquo;IA dans un nouvel hiver. D&rsquo;ailleurs, les deux sujets sont s\u00fbrement li\u00e9s nous expliquait <a href=\"https:\/\/www.economist.com\/technology-quarterly\/2020\/06\/11\/driverless-cars-show-the-limits-of-todays-ai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Economist au mois de juin dernier<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mais revenons justement \u00e0 l&rsquo;IA, car celle-ci est au c\u0153ur de nos pr\u00e9occupations depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es (j&rsquo;ai d\u00e9but\u00e9 ma carri\u00e8re de ma\u00eetre d&rsquo;ouvrage avec un syst\u00e8me expert des ann\u00e9es 1980 et ce n&rsquo;\u00e9tait pas beau \u00e0 voir), et <a href=\"https:\/\/visionarymarketing.com\/fr\/2018\/06\/intelligence-artificielle-definition\/\">nous attirons l&rsquo;attention des lecteurs depuis 3 bonnes ann\u00e9es<\/a> sur le fait qu&rsquo;on raconte un peu n&rsquo;importe quoi sur ce sujet.<\/p>\n<h3>Tendances IT 2021 : l&rsquo;IA est-elle en train d&rsquo;entrer dans un nouvel hiver ?<\/h3>\n<p>Ce courage donc de confronter les pr\u00e9visions \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9, c&rsquo;est bien celui d&rsquo;Alain Lefebvre, auteur d&rsquo;un billet\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.redsen-consulting.com\/chronique-alain-lefebvre\/tendances-it-2021-un-bilan-de-type-prevu-realise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sur le blog de REDSEN consulting<\/a> sur les tendances de l&rsquo;IT. <strong>Parmi ses\u00a0pr\u00e9visions, il y avait justement le retour de l&rsquo;hiver de l&rsquo;IA<\/strong>, \u00e0 un moment\u00a0o\u00f9 le bingo buzzword (cf. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techtrash.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cette newsletter<\/a>) sur ce sujet\u00a0ne ralentit gu\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Dans son analyse, outre le fait qu&rsquo;il compare vraiment ses pr\u00e9visions ant\u00e9rieures \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 de ce qui s&rsquo;est pass\u00e9, il n&rsquo;h\u00e9site pas \u00e0 faire des annonces \u00e0 rebrousse-poils et \u00e0 nous pr\u00e9dire un plateau de l&rsquo;IT (en bien des points, il est d\u00e9j\u00e0 parmi nous, selon lui).<\/p>\n<p>Quant \u00e0 l&rsquo;IA, elle n&rsquo;\u00e9chappe pas au plateau de l&rsquo;IT, m\u00eame si Alain ne la voit pas entrer \u00e0 nouveau dans un <a href=\"https:\/\/bdtechtalks.com\/2018\/11\/12\/artificial-intelligence-winter-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hiver d&rsquo;oubli et de d\u00e9nigrement<\/a>, <strong>mais plut\u00f4t d&rsquo;un automne de l&rsquo;IA<\/strong>, un sujet qui sera au centre de\u00a0son webinaire du 28 janvier 2021 \u00e0 9h00 (<a href=\"https:\/\/vismktg.info\/plateau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vismktg.info\/plateau<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vismktg.info\/plateau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-60899 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/visionarymarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/inscrire-webinaire-rouges.png\" alt=\"bouton\" width=\"450\" height=\"75\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Il fait remarquer en effet que \u00ab\u00a0l&rsquo;enthousiasme d\u00e9brid\u00e9 des m\u00e9dias pour les exploits du machine learning s&rsquo;est notablement calm\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<h3>Les pr\u00e9visions strat\u00e9giques de Gartner concernant l&rsquo;IA en 2021<\/h3>\n<p>Que dit le grand oracle Gartner sur ce sujet ? Pour le savoir je suis all\u00e9 voir les hypoth\u00e8ses strat\u00e9giques de l&rsquo;analyste mi 2020 et voici <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmc.com\/blogs\/ai-maturity-models\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">leurs pr\u00e9visions<\/a>. Nous pourrons toujours les comparer \u00e0 celles d&rsquo;Alain le 28 :<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hypoth\u00e8ses de planification strat\u00e9gique de Gartner (mars 2020)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Jusqu&rsquo;en 2022, <strong>seuls 15 % des cas d&rsquo;usage d&rsquo;utilisation exploitant des techniques d&rsquo;IA<\/strong> &#8211; telles que l&rsquo;apprentissage machine (ML) et les r\u00e9seaux neuronaux profonds (DNN) &#8211; et impliquant des environnements de p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie et d&rsquo;Internet des objets (IoT) seront couronn\u00e9s de succ\u00e8s.<\/li>\n<li>D&rsquo;ici 2025, <strong>50 % des activit\u00e9s des chercheurs en donn\u00e9es seront automatis\u00e9es par l&rsquo;IA<\/strong>, ce qui att\u00e9nuera la grave p\u00e9nurie de talents.<\/li>\n<li>D&rsquo;ici 2023, <strong>60 % des organisations comptant plus de 20 sp\u00e9cialistes<\/strong> des donn\u00e9es exigeront <strong>un code de conduite professionnel<\/strong> int\u00e9grant l&rsquo;utilisation \u00e9thique des donn\u00e9es et l&rsquo;IA.<\/li>\n<li>D&rsquo;ici 2023, <strong>70 % des charges de travail de l&rsquo;IA<\/strong> utiliseront des <strong>conteneurs d&rsquo;applications<\/strong> ou seront construites \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un mod\u00e8le de programmation sans serveur n\u00e9cessitant une culture DevOps.<\/li>\n<li>D&rsquo;ici 2023, <strong>les ressources de calcul utilis\u00e9es dans l&rsquo;IA seront multipli\u00e9es par cinq \u00e0 partir de 2018<\/strong>, ce qui fera de l&rsquo;IA la premi\u00e8re cat\u00e9gorie de charges de travail \u00e0 l&rsquo;origine des d\u00e9cisions relatives aux infrastructures.<\/li>\n<li>D&rsquo;ici 2021, <strong>30 % des organisations mettant en \u0153uvre des solutions d&rsquo;IA avec apprentissage verront la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle (PI)\u00a0leur \u00e9chapper<\/strong> au profit des fournisseurs de technologie en raison de clauses contractuelles mal n\u00e9goci\u00e9es.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>On sent un peu la demi-teinte. Mais pas encore, comme le fait remarquer Alain, la fin de l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat pour ces technologies qui pourtant, comme il l&rsquo;indique, montrent \u00ab\u00a0un grand d\u00e9calage entre les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices que peuvent tirer les GAFAM (et les BATX) de l&rsquo;usage de l&rsquo;IA et son application g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e \u00e0 des organisations plus modestes&#8230;\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Mais ce qui est plus int\u00e9ressant encore dans son analyse, de ma perspective (je rappelle le point ci-dessus, j&rsquo;ai d\u00e9marr\u00e9 ma carri\u00e8re en informatique, avec un syst\u00e8me expert), c&rsquo;est le retour possible de l&rsquo;approche symbolique.<\/p>\n<h3>IA symbolique (vs connexionniste) : le retour ?<\/h3>\n<p>Pour bien comprendre la diff\u00e9rence entre approche symbolique et connection en IA, je suis all\u00e9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oezratty.net\/wordpress\/2018\/que-devient-ia-symbolique\/?id=0&amp;lw=pfs1&amp;gw=&amp;aw=&amp;pw=&amp;fw=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">consulter l&rsquo;excellent site de notre ami Olivier Ezratty<\/a>, grand connaisseur de ces technologies :<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_60906\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-60906\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-60906 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/visionarymarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/resume-ia-symbolique.jpg\" alt=\"r\u00e9sum\u00e9 pour les lecteurs press\u00e9s\" width=\"1024\" height=\"586\" srcset=\"https:\/\/visionarymarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/resume-ia-symbolique.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/visionarymarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/resume-ia-symbolique-500x286.jpg 500w, https:\/\/visionarymarketing.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/resume-ia-symbolique-768x440.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-60906\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Le r\u00e9sum\u00e9 de <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oezratty.net\/wordpress\/2018\/que-devient-ia-symbolique\/?id=0&amp;lw=pfs1&amp;gw=&amp;aw=&amp;pw=&amp;fw=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l&rsquo;IA symbolique<\/a> (oppos\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;IA connexionniste selon Olivier Ezratty)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>En gros, on pourrait voir arriver de nouveaux les syst\u00e8mes experts et d&rsquo;une certaine mani\u00e8re, si l&rsquo;on regarde les Chatbots actuels et leur mise en \u0153uvre \u00e0 base essentiellement d&rsquo;arbres de d\u00e9cision, nous y sommes d\u00e9j\u00e0. Apr\u00e8s tout, mieux vaut-il sans doute un bon arbre de d\u00e9cision bien fait, qu&rsquo;un mauvais algorithme pr\u00e9dictif connexionniste. A moins que la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 se situe \u2014 c&rsquo;est probable \u2014 dans <a href=\"https:\/\/visionarymarketing.com\/fr\/2020\/05\/chat-service-client\/\">le m\u00e9lange des deux modes<\/a> comme on le voit d\u00e9j\u00e0 dans certains produits.<\/p>\n<h3>Le plateau de l&rsquo;IT<\/h3>\n<p>Il y a bien d&rsquo;autres points dans le billet d&rsquo;Alain sur l&rsquo;avenir de l&rsquo;IT et son \u00e9volution probable <strong>sous forme de plateau<\/strong>. Et notamment cette remarque sur l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de la puissance des processeurs. La fin de la loi de Moore, longtemps annonc\u00e9e, est peut \u00eatre pour bient\u00f4t. Les d\u00e9boires de grand nombre de grands noms de l&rsquo;informatique \u00e0 commencer par Intel et IBM semblent donner raison \u00e0 Alain sur le caract\u00e8re in\u00e9luctable de ce plateau de l&rsquo;IT.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;innovation n&rsquo;est pas un long fleuve tranquille, la vision romantique de ces courbes \u00e0 la progression sans fin est sans fondement. On ne peut progresser ind\u00e9finiment. Mais il ne faut pas en d\u00e9duire que l&rsquo;histoire de l&rsquo;IT est finie. Au contraire.
