(vous pouvez remplacer par \u00ab\u00a0les vendeurs\u00a0\u00bb \u00e7a marche aussi)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>S&rsquo;il y a une part de v\u00e9rit\u00e9 dans ce principe, il serait erron\u00e9 de croire que les vendeurs doivent devenir des marketeurs.<\/p>\n<p>Ni que les marketeurs doivent devenir des vendeurs.<\/p>\n<p>Parlons plut\u00f4t d&rsquo;alignement entre les ventes et le marketing et nous serons plus dans le vrai.<\/p>\n<p>En B2B, et notamment dans le domaine de la vente complexe, vente, marketing et business development n\u2019ont jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 aussi proches.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Des marketeurs dans l&rsquo;obligation de produire des leads<\/h3>\n<p>Les marketeurs sont dans l\u2019obligation de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer toujours plus de leads et se rapprocher de la vente. Et \u00e0 l&rsquo;inverse, les vendeurs se voient imposer de monter en gamme, \u00ab\u00a0networker\u00a0\u00bb et l\u00e2cher prise pour \u00eatre plus efficaces.<\/p>\n<p>Quant aux business developers, ils se retrouvent coinc\u00e9s entre marketing, vente et strat\u00e9gies d\u2019alliance sans trop savoir o\u00f9 donner de la t\u00eate.<\/p>\n<p>En r\u00e9sum\u00e9, tout le monde est somm\u00e9 d\u2019aller sur le terrain de l\u2019autre et on peut l\u00e9gitimement se demander s\u2019il s\u2019agit de la bonne m\u00e9thode.<\/p>\n<h3>Vente et marketing B2B (Smarketing) des disciplines qui se recoupent (un peu)<\/h3>\n<p>Dans cet <span class=\"removed_link\" title=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2Wye31H\">article r\u00e9cent \u00e9crit pour notre client Touch &amp; Sell<\/span> [transparence], je me suis repos\u00e9 la question de savoir quelles \u00e9taient les fonctions exactes de la vente du marketing et dans quelle mesure ces deux disciplines se recoupaient.<\/p>\n<p>J&rsquo;ai m\u00eame ajout\u00e9 une troisi\u00e8me discipline qui me semble \u00eatre particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 la crois\u00e9e des chemins : le business developement.<\/p>\n<h3>Plut\u00f4t que fusionner vente et marketing faisons-les travailler ensemble, c&rsquo;est cela le Smarketing<\/h3>\n<p>En fait, je pense que la question en faite de la fusion entre la vente \u00a0et le marketing est larg\u00e9ment sp\u00e9cieuse.<\/p>\n<p>En demandant \u00e0 vos commerciaux d&rsquo;\u00eatre des marketeurs et \u00e0 vos marketeurs d&rsquo;\u00eatre des commerciaux on finirait sans doute par \u00ab tailler en pointe les oreilles d&rsquo;un \u00e2ne pour en faire un cheval de course \u00bb selon le bon vieil adage.<\/p>\n<p>Le r\u00e9sultat je vous l&rsquo;accorde ne sera pas bien bon.<\/p>\n<p>Je recommande plut\u00f4t de faire travailler les \u00e9quipes ensemble, ce qui semble aller sous le sens mais qui est bien entendu toujours plus difficile.<\/p>\n<h3>Accompagner pour changer ensemble<\/h3>\n<p>Il est plus confortable de manager par injonctions en demandant aux gens de \u00ab\u00a0changer\u00a0\u00bb. Puis de se plaindre qu&rsquo;ils n&rsquo;ont pas chang\u00e9 ou qu&rsquo;ils sont des \u00ab\u00a0Gaulois r\u00e9fractaires\u00a0\u00bb. Il est plus difficile de faire un pas de c\u00f4t\u00e9 pour essayer de voir comment on peut les aider \u00e0 changer ensemble. Sans les faire sortir de leur zone de confort.<\/p>\n<p>Car tel est le v\u00e9ritable sujet.<\/p>\n<p>J&rsquo;ai vu des commerciaux litt\u00e9ralement paniquer quand on leur demande de travailler en mode Networking. Pourtant, dans un domaine de vente complexe, les sujets n\u00e9cessitent un travail important de mise en relation avec de nouvelles personnes.<\/p>\n<p>En somme, on leur demande de faire leur travail de commerciaux, c&rsquo;est tout. Mais vu de leur fen\u00eatre, le changement de m\u00e9thode est intense. Si intense, qu&rsquo;ils voient mal comment le mettre en musique.<\/p>\n<h3>Les acheteurs adorent acheter mais d\u00e9testent les vendeurs<\/h3>\n<p>Le Networking, sur ces sujets de vente complexes et m\u00eame moins complexes en B2B, est un must.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00eame une petite entreprise, surtout une petite entreprise, se doit de tisser un r\u00e9seau. Car elle ne peut recourir \u00e0 des moyens plus co\u00fbteux et massifs tels que la publicit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Par ailleurs le \u00ab\u00a0cold calling\u00a0\u00bb a fait son temps. Les acheteurs pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent aller sur Internet. Pour citer Jeffrey Gittomer, \u00ab\u00a0ils adorent acheter mais d\u00e9testent les vendeurs\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<h3>Les deux disciplines sont autant concern\u00e9es l&rsquo;une que l&rsquo;autre par l&rsquo;inbound marketing<\/h3>\n<p>C&rsquo;est ainsi que l&rsquo;inbound marketing ne permet pas que de faire vivre la marque sur Internet. Il permet aussi et surtout de lier la vente et marketing au travers de contenus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C&rsquo;est m\u00eame \u00e0 mon avis l&rsquo;int\u00e9r\u00eat le plus flagrant de cette technique marketing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ceux-ci ne remplacent le travail du vendeur. On entend souvent prof\u00e9rer des \u00e2neries li\u00e9es au social selling (vocable qui est d\u00e9j\u00e0 moins en vogue aux \u00c9tats-Unis et qui commence \u00eatre remplac\u00e9).<\/p>\n<p>Il vaut donc mieux entra\u00eener les commerciaux \u00a0\u00e0 devenir meilleur dans les domaines qui sont proches du commerce et surtout ne pas les faire autre chose que leur m\u00e9tier.<\/p>\n<p>Ceci \u00e9tant, il y a diff\u00e9rents types de commerciaux et diff\u00e9rentes natures de vente. Il faut savoir aussi tenir compte de cela.<\/p>\n<p>Pour ma part, je suis assez mauvais en vente de produits. Et Dieu sait que j&rsquo;en ai vendus puisque j&rsquo;ai commenc\u00e9 ma carri\u00e8re dans ce domaine (l&rsquo;\u00e9lectrom\u00e9nager B2B).<\/p>\n<h3>Chacun son type de vente<\/h3>\n<p>Je ne me sens pas \u00e0 l&rsquo;aise dans ce type de vente. Il lui manque une dimension cr\u00e9ative et qui me qui me manque.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 l&rsquo;inverse, un vendeur habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 pousser du produit se sentira tr\u00e8s mal \u00e0 l&rsquo;aise dans le domaine du service. Car on n&rsquo;y demande pas de vendre des fonctionnalit\u00e9s mais de se focaliser sur les pratiques du client.<\/p>\n<p>Le but \u00e9tant que le service en question colle au probl\u00e8me du client et devienne une solution.<\/p>\n<p>Dans cet article je cite l&rsquo;exemple de formation g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9 chez Orange Business Services o\u00f9 j&rsquo;ai travaill\u00e9 longtemps.<\/p>\n<p>Des centaines de commerciaux grands comptes y avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 convertis aux m\u00e9thodes de la vente complexe. Or, plus j\u2019entends dire que ces m\u00e9tiers se rapprochent, plus le terrain semble d\u00e9mentir cette pr\u00e9vision.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9tudions ici pourquoi. Et avan\u00e7ons quelques explications qui nous am\u00e8neront \u00e0 aller au-del\u00e0 des incantations. Car c\u2019est l\u2019\u00e9tat d\u2019esprit et l\u2019approche (vente et \u00a0marketing) qu\u2019il convient de changer.<\/p>\n<p>Pour en arriver l\u00e0, je propose de revenir \u00e0 la d\u00e9finition de ces termes et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution de ces disciplines. R\u00e9fl\u00e9chissons aussi \u00e0 l\u2019impact des technologies sur ces m\u00e9tiers.<\/p>\n<h3>Le rapprochement de la vente et du marketing ne date pas d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui.<\/h3>\n<p>Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une lente \u00e9volution depuis la mont\u00e9e en charge des m\u00e9thodes de vente au tournant des ann\u00e9es 2000.<\/p>\n<p>Les comportements des acheteurs ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9voluer \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque-l\u00e0 sous l\u2019impulsion du Web. Et c&rsquo;est ainsi que les premi\u00e8res start-ups technologiques ont apport\u00e9 de nouvelles m\u00e9thodes de vente ou plut\u00f4t de \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9veloppement\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Vers le d\u00e9but de ce si\u00e8cle la notion de \u00ab\u00a0business development\u00a0\u00bb (\u00e9crit \u00e0 l\u2019anglaise) a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 se r\u00e9pandre, et je me suis m\u00eame retrouv\u00e9 propuls\u00e9 directeur e-business et business development \u00e0 cette \u00e9poque-l\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>Pour \u00eatre franc, je ne savais pas trop ce que cela signifiait. Mais j\u2019\u00e9tais pr\u00eat pour ce m\u00e9lange.
