Depuis d\u00e9j\u00e0 une dizaine d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es, l&rsquo;IoT ( Internet des objets en fran\u00e7ais) est sur tous les agendas. Quand je travaillais pour Orange Business\u00a0Services j&rsquo;avais organis\u00e9 une conf\u00e9rence, il y a pr\u00e8s de 10 ans, sur ce sujet avec Rafi Haladjian. Plus r\u00e9cemment, et toujours avec Orange Business Services [transparence : mon client aujourd&rsquo;hui] j&rsquo;ai pu v\u00e9rifier une de mes hypoth\u00e8ses du d\u00e9part sur ce march\u00e9 de l&rsquo;IoT : \u00e0 savoir qu&rsquo;on en parle beaucoup dans le B2C mais que <strong>c&rsquo;est dans le B2B que le march\u00e9 se d\u00e9veloppe<\/strong>. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 on croyait que l&rsquo;essentiel du march\u00e9 de l&rsquo;Internet des objets allait se focaliser sur la vente au consommateur, <a href=\"http:\/\/www3.weforum.org\/docs\/WEFUSA_IndustrialInternet_Report2015.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on observe au contraire un d\u00e9veloppement consid\u00e9rable dans le domaine industriel<\/a>. Pour \u00eatre franc, ce n&rsquo;est pas v\u00e9ritablement une d\u00e9couverte pour moi. Au temps o\u00f9 on imaginait qu&rsquo;un jour le consommateur pourrait peut-\u00eatre, \u00e9ventuellement, porter un objet connect\u00e9, <a href=\"http:\/\/orange.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Orange Belgium<\/a> (\u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque nomm\u00e9e Mobistar) vendait d\u00e9j\u00e0 des millions de cartes SIM qui \u00e9quipaient les distributeurs automatiques de l&rsquo;Europe et du reste du monde.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Certes il y a l&rsquo;Apple Watch, mais &#8230;<\/h3>\n<p>Certes, l&rsquo;Internet des objets pour le grand public s&rsquo;est bien d\u00e9velopp\u00e9, du moins pour certaines marques qui ont surv\u00e9cu. Je porte d&rsquo;ailleurs un tel objet \u00e0 mon poignet, que j&rsquo;utilise en permanence y compris pour payer les courses (je ne vais plus chercher l&rsquo;argent au distributeur qu&rsquo;une fois tous les deux mois) et bien s\u00fbr pour mesurer les trajets en v\u00e9lo, mes kilom\u00e8tres et mes performances. Mais ce n&rsquo;est pas l\u00e0 que l&rsquo;innovation est la plus grande.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;innovation est la plus grande l\u00e0 o\u00f9 elle sert \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre de grands probl\u00e8mes. Voil\u00e0 un mot que les marketeurs n&rsquo;aiment pas prononcer et pourtant, c&rsquo;est la v\u00e9ritable cl\u00e9 de l&rsquo;innovation, comme l&rsquo;a pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 fort \u00e0 propos Scott Berkun il y a bien longtemps :<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/scottberkun.com\/2008\/stop-saying-innovation-heres-why\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">En IoT comme ailleurs, cessez d&rsquo;utiliser le mot innovation<\/a><\/h3>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\"><p>On reconna\u00eet quelqu&rsquo;un qui a une bonne id\u00e9e et qui travaille bien, \u00e0 ce qu&rsquo;il sait r\u00e9soudre des probl\u00e8mes. Pour d\u00e9finir ses id\u00e9es, il se laissera guider par l&rsquo;importance des probl\u00e8mes que ces id\u00e9es pourraient aider \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre. C&rsquo;est la r\u00e9solution du probl\u00e8me qui donne de la puissance aux id\u00e9es et non des mots sur un slide PowerPoint ni le titre que vous avez sur votre carte de visite.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ainsi, le niveau de buzz sur les assistants vocaux est constant depuis deux ans, m\u00eame s&rsquo;il a d\u00e9j\u00e0 tendance \u00e0 baisser et que le \u00ab\u00a0trough of desillusionment\u00a0\u00bb de Gartner n&rsquo;est pas loin. Je vous conseille donc, si vous d\u00e9sirez comprendre \u00e0 quoi sert vraiment l&rsquo;Internet des objets (IoT), de lire ce r\u00e9capitulatif des innovation possibles avec la technologie LTE-M, une nouvelle technologie qui vient compl\u00e9ter la panoplie des technologies de transmission existantes de l&rsquo;IoT. Elle a trait\u00e9 le cas de la protection des agents SNCF dans les gares.<\/p>\n<p>Le but \u00e9tait de d\u00e9tecter les \u00e9ventuelles chutes des agents.Pour ce cas concret, la valeur du r\u00e9seau LTE-M est \u00e9vidente car il permet de r\u00e9soudre tous les probl\u00e8mes de perte de signal, \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur ou \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur des b\u00e2timents.Point important, il fallait doter l\u2019agent SNCF d\u2019un objet autonome pour lui \u00e9viter une recharge quotidienne suppl\u00e9mentaire.
