Certains en font un m\u00e9tier, pas toujours par\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">go\u00fbt. D&rsquo;autres en font un art. D&rsquo;autres, encore, s&rsquo;en servent pour\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">s&rsquo;inventer une cr\u00e9dibilit\u00e9, cachant derri\u00e8re des \u00e9crans de fum\u00e9e la\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">platitude de leurs propos. C&rsquo;est une tendance g\u00e9n\u00e9rale, je n&rsquo;invente ni\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">ne d\u00e9couvre rien.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Le monde de la #data n&rsquo;\u00e9chappe \u00e0 la r\u00e8gle. A se demander s&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y pas\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">une volont\u00e9 de confiscation du sens, d&rsquo;escamotage du r\u00e9el derri\u00e8re ce\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">jargon. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.challenges.fr\/high-tech\/high-tech-start-up-frenchtech-jouez-au-bullshit-bingo-du-ces-2016_45819\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jargon qui se couple ais\u00e9ment avec celui concernant les startups<\/a><\/span><span class=\"s1\">, soit dit en passant. Si, entre sp\u00e9cialistes, il est tentant, voire\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">pratique, de parler boutique et d&rsquo;\u00e9changer par mot-cl\u00e9s, quand on\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">s&rsquo;adresse \u00e0 des interlocuteurs qui ont fait l&rsquo;habile choix de ne pas\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">consacrer 10h\/jour aux math\u00e9matiques appliqu\u00e9es et \u00e0 l&rsquo;informatique, il\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">convient de clarifier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Incommunicabilit\u00e9<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Pourquoi en parler ? Car l&rsquo;incommunicabilit\u00e9 rode. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theses.fr\/2008NAN10086\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quand on se consacre \u00e0\u00a0<\/a><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theses.fr\/2008NAN10086\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">la recherche scientifique, on renonce \u00e0\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theses.fr\/2008NAN10086\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">parler de son travail avec ses proches.<\/a> Cas classique qui am\u00e8ne soit \u00e0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">se couper du monde, les matheux sont tr\u00e8s forts \u00e0 ce petit jeu, soit \u00e0\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">faire l&rsquo;effort de traduire et trouver des images pour, tout de m\u00eame,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">avoir quelque chose \u00e0 raconter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Depuis ma conversion au monde de l&rsquo;exploitation massive de la donn\u00e9e\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">d&rsquo;entreprise, je rencontre des probl\u00e9matiques similaires ; moins\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">complexes certes, car je n&rsquo;ai plus besoin de dessiner des trucs moches\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">sur des tableaux, mais tout de m\u00eame, expliquer avec les mains le\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">(probable) fonctionnement d&rsquo;un algorithme, c&rsquo;est souvent p\u00e9rilleux. Et\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">faux, au final, le r\u00e9el est taquin et tend des pi\u00e8ges \u00e0 qui th\u00e9orise\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">trop. S&rsquo;il est facile de se r\u00e9fugier derri\u00e8re des mots compliqu\u00e9s et de\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">faire son malin, il n&rsquo;en r\u00e9sulte pas forc\u00e9ment grand chose d&rsquo;int\u00e9ressant\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">dans le cadre d&rsquo;une discussion, d&rsquo;un \u00e9change : \u00e0 part faire passer son\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">interlocuteur pour un idiot, qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;est \u00e9videmment pas, <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Astuce_du_noyau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sous pr\u00e9texte\u00a0<\/a><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Astuce_du_noyau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">qu&rsquo;il ne lui parait pas <em>a priori\u00a0<\/em>\u00e9vident d&rsquo;augmenter la dimension de\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Astuce_du_noyau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l&rsquo;espace m\u00e9trique pour simplifier un calcul<\/a>, utiliser l&rsquo;argument\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">d&rsquo;autorit\u00e9 technique ne sert \u00e0 rien. Une\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">base de donn\u00e9es, c&rsquo;est une fa\u00e7on de stocker des donn\u00e9es, de les ranger\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">de fa\u00e7on structur\u00e9e. Les donn\u00e9es sont le nerf de la guerre et la cause\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">de toute l&rsquo;effervescence des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es autour du Big Data\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">(<em>donn\u00e9es massives<\/em>) : les entreprises, suivant l&rsquo;exemple des nouveaux\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">g\u00e9ants que sont Google. Amazon, Facebook, Amazon (GAFA) et leurs\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">pendants chinois <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BATX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BATX<\/a> (Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent et Xiaomi), sont\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">aujourd&rsquo;hui convaincues qu&rsquo;elles \u00e9taient en danger si elles\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">n&rsquo;exploitaient pas leur bases de donn\u00e9es. Double sentiment : la donn\u00e9e\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">est strat\u00e9gique et source de danger.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Manich\u00e9isme ? Religion ? Les comportements ne sont pas toujours\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">logiques. Le fait est que de nombreux outils sont apparus (1)<\/span><span class=\"s1\">, sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s sur le traitement\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">d&rsquo;\u00e9normes masses de donn\u00e9es ; et techniquement, couvrant tout le spectre\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">entre la plomberie avanc\u00e9 et les syst\u00e8mes experts. De nombreux vendeurs,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">conseillers, communicants, architectes logiciels, etc. se r\u00e9fugient\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">derri\u00e8re cette complexit\u00e9 technique et une certaine difficult\u00e9\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">conceptuelle pour sur-dimensionner les r\u00e9ponses, gonfler les factures,\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">grossir les projets. La dynamique s&rsquo;auto-entretient.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Imposture ?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p1\">Alors, me dirait ma soeur, avec tout le bon sens qui, s&rsquo;il est d&rsquo;adoption, n&rsquo;en\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">reste pas moins angevin : \u00ab\u00a0donc tu vends du vent, toi aussi mon fr\u00e8re, tu escroques le\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">chaland ?\u00a0\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Non, \u00e9videmment.
