Le Monde souffre (Eric Fottorino en t\u00e9moignait lors de cette journ\u00e9e des universit\u00e9s d&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 du Medef) mais ce n&rsquo;est pas Le Monde qui ferme. Le NYT licencie mais il ne dispara\u00eet pas. Certain jounal \u00e0 Washington DC ferme ses portes, mais il ne s&rsquo;agit pas d&rsquo;un quotidien majeur. B\u00e2ti sur le mod\u00e8le Ohmynews cor\u00e9en, ce journal n&rsquo;a pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 atteindre l&rsquo;\u00e9quilibre, malgr\u00e9 des visites honorables. Une hirondelle ne fait pas le printemps cependant. Rue 89 rassure imm\u00e9diatement ses lecteurs nous dit Le Monde. Ouf ! rien \u00e0 craindre&#8230;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un instant ; la s\u00e9rie continue. Il y a quelques jours, je recevais un courrier \u00e9lectronique d&rsquo;Herv\u00e9 Revelli, le patron d&rsquo;Agoravox &#8211; et rappelons-le &#8211; un des pionniers de l&rsquo;Internet \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 90, acolyte de l&rsquo;excellent Jo\u00ebl de Rosnay, dont nous admirons les \u00e9crits depuis les ann\u00e9es 70 (Le Macroscope, 1976). Dans ce courrier, Carlo nous apprend que le site participatif et citoyen, malgr\u00e9 un grand nombre de visiteurs et une distinction europ\u00e9enne, est en grande difficult\u00e9. J&rsquo;inclus ici le courrier \u00e9lectronique du fondateur d&rsquo;Agoravox cas o\u00f9 d&rsquo;aucuns voudraient participer \u00e0 son refinancement.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Si la presse traditionnelle souffre et que la presse Internet, soi-disant l&rsquo;origine de la disparition de la premi\u00e8re, dispara\u00eet aussi, doit-on mettre cela sur le dos du hasard, ou plut\u00f4t sur le fait d&rsquo;une transformation profonde des habitudes de lecture, ou m\u00eame de non lecture, des fameux citoyens en question.\u00a0Tous \u00e9crivains donc, mais peut-\u00eatre plus lecteurs du tout ?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ne nous y trompons pas, ce qui arrive n&rsquo;est pas seulement une crise de la lecture, mais bien une crise de <em>mod\u00e8le \u00e9conomique, <\/em>que je pr\u00e9dis d&rsquo;ailleurs depuis 3 ans &#8211; avec force r\u00e9p\u00e9tition de l&rsquo;adage qui veut que les erreurs de la nouvelle \u00e9conomie ne devraient pas \u00eatre reproduites &#8211; car le mod\u00e8le uniquement publicitaire est un mod\u00e8le fragile. Et il le restera. Ce mod\u00e8le, bas\u00e9 uniquement sur la visibilit\u00e9, est hautement sensible aux variations \u00e9conomiques et aux pressions des annonceurs qui font marcher les prix \u00e0 la baisse en arguant des difficult\u00e9s \u00e9conomiques mentionn\u00e9es ci-dessus, et aussi \u00a0de la fragmentation des audiences. Il faut donc trouver d&rsquo;autres mod\u00e8les \u00e9conomiques : partenariats, sponsoring, \u00e9v\u00e9nmentiel, souscription partielle, contenus \u00e0 valeur ajout\u00e9e, produits d\u00e9riv\u00e9s, relais avec d&rsquo;autres m\u00e9dias, affiliation.
