Ce format noir\/blanc permet de souligner que d&rsquo;un c\u00f4t\u00e9 (lumineux), les Big Data sont une chance pour l&rsquo;entreprise, \u00e0 condition d&rsquo;utiliser la bonne m\u00e9thode, mais \u00e0 l&rsquo;inverse, elles peuvent se transformer en un v\u00e9ritable pi\u00e8ge co\u00fbteux pour l&rsquo;entreprise (c\u00f4t\u00e9 sombre).<\/p>\n<p>Le POC est l&rsquo;acronyme de Proof Of Concept, terme invent\u00e9\u00a0par Bruce Carsten au milieu des ann\u00e9es 80. On peut traduire ce terme en \u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Preuve_de_concept\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">preuve de faisabilit\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0\u00bb : le but est donc de savoir, via une r\u00e9alisation dans une simulation, si le projet va pouvoir \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9 \u00e0 plus grande \u00e9chelle et en situation r\u00e9elle. A premi\u00e8re vue, cette approche est bonne : elle est d&rsquo;ailleurs encore beaucoup utilis\u00e9e en France. Mais en regardant de plus pr\u00e8s, le POC est une approch\u00e9 vici\u00e9e pour plusieurs raisons : elle n\u00e9cessite une r\u00e9plication parfaite des conditions r\u00e9elles, elle est \u00e9tablie sur un p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre limit\u00e9, n&rsquo;apporte aucune garantie de mont\u00e9e en charge&#8230; Faire un POC avant de lancer un projet est donc un mauvais r\u00e9flexe. Il est toutefois n\u00e9cessaire de nuancer cette sombre vision sur les POC : ils trouvent par exemple encore une utilit\u00e9 dans la phase de R&amp;D pour\u00a0explorer\u00a0de nouvelles possibilit\u00e9s. Mais dans le monde des Big Data, la marge entre exp\u00e9rimentation et exploitation est bien trop haute pour consid\u00e9rer le POC comme une \u00e9tape indispensable dans toute r\u00e9alisation de projet Big Data. Et pour remplacer le POC, rien de mieux que le projet pilote, que nous verrons la semaine prochaine dans le Livre Blanc des Big Data.<\/p>\n<h4>Pour la petite histoire&#8230;<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Hadoop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hadoop<\/a> est un framework (structure logicielle) permettant de traiter des volumes de donn\u00e9es importantes en un minimum de temps. Il est utilis\u00e9 par des acteurs majeurs de l&rsquo;Internet (Amazon, Facebook&#8230;), et repr\u00e9sente d\u00e9sormais un des symboles des Big Data. Son logo, un petit \u00e9l\u00e9phant, est inspir\u00e9 du doudou du fils de 5 ans du cr\u00e9ateur de Hadoop, Doug Cutting.
