Les lecteurs d\u00e9sireux de mieux conna\u00eetre Cloudera, son histoire, sa vision et les raisons de ce mariage de raison entre cloud computing et Big Data peuvent trouver r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 leurs questions dans l&rsquo;article suivant :<\/p>\n<h3>Qui est Cloudera ?<\/h3>\n<p>Cloudera est une Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9ricaine fond\u00e9e en 2008 \u00e0 Palo Alto par des anciens des GAFA, ses fondateurs ont tr\u00e8s rapidement \u00e9t\u00e9 rejoints par un des cr\u00e9ateurs de Hadoop, Doug Cutting, un ancien employ\u00e9 de Yahoo! C\u2019est lui qui a choisi l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9phant bien connu comme embl\u00e8me du framework qu\u2019il avait cr\u00e9\u00e9, en s\u2019inspirant d\u2019un jouet poss\u00e9d\u00e9 par son fils (voir la photo et l\u2019article sur le site de CNBC et sur la droite).La vision initiale de Cloudera, d\u00e8s sa cr\u00e9ation, \u00e9tait de \u201cpackager la technologie naissante Hadoop et d\u2019en faire quelque chose pour les entreprises\u201d nous a expliqu\u00e9 J\u00e9r\u00f4me.<\/p>\n<p>Ceci a permis \u00e0 la start-up d\u2019op\u00e9rer beaucoup de lev\u00e9es de fonds et en cons\u00e9quence, d\u2019embaucher et de d\u00e9velopper sa plateforme technologique. Le succ\u00e8s fut total, car Cloudera a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 attirer sur son projet des grands noms de l\u2019informatique comme Intel qui est d\u00e9sormais actionnaire. Le g\u00e9ant am\u00e9ricain des micro-processeurs a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019arr\u00eater sa propre distribution Hadoop, tout en transf\u00e9rant 300 personnes de son propre personnel \u00e0 Cloudera. A mi 2015, l\u2019\u00e9diteur am\u00e9ricain est fort d\u2019environ 1.000 employ\u00e9s dans le monde dont 300 personnes en R&amp;D, d\u00e9di\u00e9s au d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n<p>On ne peut plus vraiment parler de start-up, il s\u2019agit bel et bien d\u2019un \u00e9diteur cons\u00e9quent. Le support client s\u2019effectue depuis la Hongrie, l\u2019Allemagne et l\u2019Angleterre.Enfin et surtout, J\u00e9r\u00f4me Campo a fait remarquer que \u201cCloudera ne s\u2019appelle pas Hadoopera\u201d et que cela n\u2019\u00e9tait pas neutre, et donne une bonne justification au partenariat avec Cloudwatt notamment.Une vision ambitieuse : interagir avec l\u2019ensemble du SI de l\u2019entreprise<\/p>\n<p>La vision de Cloudera est ambitieuse : leur objectif est de devenir un nouveau hub de donn\u00e9es pour facilement interagir avec l\u2019ensemble du SI de l\u2019entreprise, tout en garantissant \u00e0 l\u2019utilisateur final de garder ses outils d\u2019analyse quotidiens.
