This event is the unmissable conference on the subject of enterprise <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Social network\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Social_network\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">social networks<\/a> and will not only be the chance for the audience (100 \u2013 200 professionals from the ESN market and clients) to listen to some of the most inspiring speakers on the subject, but also to interact with each other in some very exciting workshop sessions. The event is definitely international and moved away from <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Germany\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=52.5166666667,13.3833333333&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=52.5166666667,13.3833333333 (Germany)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener noreferrer\">Germany<\/a> a few years ago in order to open up to the rest of Europe even better than it had done before<\/li>\n<li>The <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"European Economic Area\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/European_Economic_Area\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">European market<\/a> is as usual very varied, if we except multinationals which tend to be pretty much the same throughout the continent. Bjorn however describes the SME market as a very local market for each of the countries involved, with 3 major hotspots being the usual suspects (<a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"United Kingdom\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=51.5,-0.116666666667&amp;spn=10.0,10.0&amp;q=51.5,-0.116666666667 (United%20Kingdom)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation noopener noreferrer\">UK<\/a>, Germany and France).<\/li>\n<li>Regarding enterprise social network adoption, Bjorn has established a 3 tier hierarchy of companies having embarked on enterprise social network projects:\n<ul>\n<li>first, the first generation projects, mostly in big companies, which tend to be &#8220;stuck in the Middle&#8221;. These accounts started off with management support and failed to gain momentum within a broader employee base,<\/li>\n<li>Secondly, the new players, still mostly in big companies, with major examples like Solvay or <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Robert Bosch GmbH\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bosch.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener noreferrer\">Bosch<\/a>, who are coming late in the game, but are better implementing enterprise social networks with a broader managerial vision,<\/li>\n<li>Thirdly, <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Small and medium enterprises\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Small_and_medium_enterprises\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"wikipedia noopener noreferrer\">SMEs<\/a> all over Europe which are leapfrogging all the other types of clients because they tend to be more agile and more business focused.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Enterprise 2.0\" href=\"http:\/\/friendfeed.com\/enterprise-2-0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"homepage noopener noreferrer\">Enterprise 2.0<\/a> Summit of which Media Aces is a partner<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A few days ago, I had the opportunity to interview Bj\u00f6n Negelmann, the creator and organiser of the enterprise 2.0 summit which is due to take place in Paris on the 10 \u2013 12 February 2014.
